It’s worth mooring in Kinver for the night to explore the village and the beautiful walks around Kinver Edge with its distinctive rock cave houses, now looked after by the National Trust. There is a village pub in Dunhampstea approx 1metres from Bridge 30.
Droitwich, which has has a wide range of shops, banks, pubs and attractions, is approximately two miles away. The locks are open hrs, and form a staircase, the lock-keeper is usually around in case of difficulties. Our visitor moorings are marked by a red mooring icon on our maps.

The visitor moorings are extremely popular and well used from Easter to the end of October, however due to Covidthe Council could not lay the moorings as usual.
Working with our local tourism and island groups and the marinas at Largs and Ardrossan the Council can now go ahead to provide moorings for the remainder of the sailing-season. We were desperate for water and so we had to drop down the, lock to get to the water point where as the visitor moorings are above the lock. Its setting on the River Severn is a great backdrop for all sorts of family activities.
