Are You in contact with a crisis team? What is a crisis team? How can a crisis team help you?


The team includes Complaints, Patient Advice and Liaison (PALS), Involvement and Engagement of people who use our services and their carers, volunteers and members of the Trust. The Community Mental Health Assessment and Recovery Team provides a service for adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions.


The Tier CAMHS team members include a range of mental health professionals and specialists who are trained and experienced in working with young people and their families.

MyTime is a Tier CAMHS service and offers support for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues by providing early targeted interventions, usually through around 6-sessions. It is made up of six inpatient wards and community clinics. Many crisis teams can only support people who have been referred to them by another health care professional.


For example, you might be referred to a crisis team after visiting AE or your GP. A crisis team can also support you when you are discharged from a short stay in hospital.


Someone from the team may visit you at home to make sure you are keeping well. There should be a crisis team in your area which is available hours a day, days a week.


Most crisis teams try to see you either the same day or the next day. The service was established to provide a unique alternative to psychiatric hospital admission and address the needs of people experiencing a mental health crisis.

Emergency Duty Team. Supporter Services are here to help you and answer any questions you might have about Crisis, our work or homelessness issues in general. Those patients admitted out of hours are assessed the next working day unless urgent psychiatric assessment is required by the duty psychiatrist.

Lifeline is a crisis response helpline available hours a day, seven days a week to people in Northern Ireland. NHS 1– If you are not experiencing a mental health crisis, but still seek medical advice and support, you can contact NHS 111. Simply dial 1to access this service. We are here to help you during this tough time – please reach out to us when you need us.


We may have a lot of calls to get though, so please bear with us, but you are important to us and we will help you as much as we can. They offer a listening service. Our advice line is open from 9:30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Through the immense generosity of Crisis supporters, we welcomed thousands of guests to our Christmas centres across Britain. It was a huge team effort with people coming together from all walks of life to make Christmas a warm, peaceful and hopeful time for people who really needed it. And now, in the new year, we’re still here. We all need to stay alert so we can control the virus and reduce the risk infection.
