A POPULAR steam rally will not be held at its usual venue this year due to re-development works at a North Yorkshire showground. Astle park not going ahead was quiet simply 1. The Event has been hosted for the last few years by The Pickering Showgroun located on the edge of Pickering Town on the edge of the the North.
Pickering Traction Engine Rally is a huge event every year held at the showground with Traction Engines, stalls, music, events and fireworks. Two services per day, departing at 09.
A traditional ‘ steam and vintage event’ and a great family friendly fun day out. We’re going back to reasonable admission charges with plenty to do and see when you get there. You can camp on site from Friday to Monday. The old market town of Helmsley in the North York Moors National Park is located on the A1between Pickering and Thirsk and is the perfect base for visitors with plans to explore and enjoy the wider area.
