Haldex oil equivalent

The haldex oil (every 20k miles) and filter (40k miles) need to be changed I suspect, the haldex has to be warm to aid draining of the old oil (quick run round the block). Yeti coming up for 340miles. Have changed haldex and diff oils previously but do i need to keep buying insanely priced OEM oils for this purpose? Not a good idea to let go too long without a change.

Suggest only Volvo branded oil. Simple to do yourself if you want to.

I’m sure you are safe temporarily but I would go directly to the service manager to have it refilled with the proper oil. If they say the oils are interchangeable, call VWOA.

The haldex was not serviced based on the service order, and yes, you would ask them to remove the haldex pump and wipe down the filter (albeit for an additional cost).
