The volunteer crew assembled and launched Trent class all-weather lifeboat RNLB Jim Moffat and D class inshore lifeboat Sheena to assist Ayr Coastguard Rescue Team. As the lifeboats launched news came through from Belfast Coastguard that the incident at Ayr had been resolved and the lifeboats were no longer required but immediately tasked the all-weather lifeboat to reports of a ‘Pan Pan.
