Priory farm airfield

Any member seeking a new aviation experience or challenge can be assured that. Priory Farm airfield. Register with UKGA.

Unfortunately I know nothing regarding it’s history, or any notion as to its worth in our aviation history. Any information in this respect will be much appreciated.

Should you wish to leave a small donation towards the upkeep and ongoing running of the website, it is really appreciated. We may run it over 3-days if needs be. Camping will (hopefully) be welcome.

Proceeds will be split between Sue Ryder Trust and SSNAP. Feast your eyes on lovely local produce and discover the best speciality foods. The butchery enjoys a fine reputation, while the deli tempts with an incredible selection of cheeses, olives, handmade pastries and much more. Seasonal fruit and vegetables and an inspiring range of gift and cookware turn shopping into a joy.

It is a privately owned strip surrounded by our long owned organic arable farm, the farm is active on a daily basis and visitors are welcome to enjoy it.

The Fox and Hounds Pub in Peasemore is a ten minute walk from the airfield, The Crab and Boar a little further. Not always manned-make blind calls.

Watch out for the flock of geese in the car parking area! Note: This is designed to fit FSX generic scenery and will probably not. Do you have an Airfield Story? View All Airfield Stories.

Downwind to the North clear of habitation, route clear of houses where possible. I have been devoted to catering since leaving school and my wife, family and friends have supported me since day one and I hope this belief is reflected in the high standards we deliver time after time.

Since childhood he has been fascinated by all aspects of aviation history. I know that we all tend to want to know what happened and maybe learn valuable safety lessons, but we have to wait a little.

Great aircraft, well put together and well maintained. Note particularly however: 1. The 5ft circuit is INOPERATIVE on June. The farm is owned by William and Alex Wales.

Alex runs their holiday cottage business and looks after the rest of the farm animals. Andy is the Dairy Cowman and knows the cows better than anyone else. He makes sure that they are kept happy.

Lucky for us its near by. My daughter loves it any time of year. Bluebell wood on the nature trail is very pretty spring time. And the sunflower maze is beautiful late summer.

You can feed the fish in the lake towards the end of the nature trail. There are tractor rides in the summer. Kids love to roll down the hill. Be prepared for some steep bits and muddy bits.

The airfield was named RAF Blakehill, taken from the name of the farm that once stood at the top of the hill to the south of the airfield. The ruins of the farm house, yard and buildings are still situated on the hill on private land.

This squadron left in April to be replaced by No. Its aircrew members included such cricketing immortals as England’s Bill Edrich and Australia’s. Below you will see an interactive map showing the location, plus some more detailed information about how to find Dairy House Farm by roa and where to park.

We have also provided a Downloadable PDF that can be printed for future. On the morning of the accident they had flown some circuits and conducted general handling in the local area before returning to the airfield for lunch.
