Clutch pedal sticking ford fiesta

The clutch pedal suddenly has no resistance and goes to the floor but returns on the pedal return spring. After a few minutes the clutch pedal starts acting normally but after a mile or two it develops the resistance again and you have to wait for a few minutes for it to return to normal. Hi guys, on my fiesta the clutch pedal is hard to depress. Works ok it seems but is really hard. Could some one shed some light on this. Yes, its a pain, your right!


Release clutch cable from arm, then its a case of removing a spring clip and a pin which can be tight fittingand a series of plastic bushes. Pedal will then be free.


Then its a case of refit the ratchet mechanism, to the pedal, taking care to put the pawl on the right way aron and clip. I had a problem about months ago, I was driving and the clutch randomly slipped causing the revs to shoot up. It was on a Saturday so immediately called Ford on the following Monday.


After explaining I can barely drive it, they told me to try and drive it to the garage on that Friday for them to look at it. A particularly common problem with Ford Fiesta hydraulic clutches is caused by the cylinder rod becoming disconnected from the clutch pedal.


I spoke to ford yesterday and they said its just the clutch pressure PIPE that needs replacing, not PLATE.
