Cornish shrimper 19 review

There’s no doubt about it, this is a salty little boat that, while new in North America, has had a long and popular run in its native England. Her success is down to good looks, genuine trailability, an easily managed gaff rig, usable two-berth accommodation and a generous application of the fun factor.

A testament to its popularity is that over 1boats have been built over a period of more than three decades, with many owners keeping their boats for years or more. Die Werft bleibt ihrer Tradition treu.

CORNISH SHRIMPER MKNr.

Nomad of Pollensa”. Berth and Galley Layout. Mersea Combi Trailer. All standing and running rigging in good condition. Very tidy example with the benefit of a SBS. Navy Blue GRP Hull with traditional wooden Trim.

Traditional wooden mast and boom, stainless steel rigging with roller reefing jib and slab mainsail. Accommodation for either overnight or weekends.

Lovely mark II version with self draining cockpit, higher cabin headroom. The starboard berth starts further down the cabin so. The shrimper does have some advantages. LITTLE SHRIMP is a lovely early Mark I version.

Pretty and charming as ever gaff rigged traditional cruiser, easily handled by a single person or ideally a couple. The interior including the cushions is totally unmarked and unspoilt. It has a gaff rig sloop with a wooden bowsprit, a plumb stem, an angled transom, a transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller and a stub keel with a centreboard.

It displaces 3lb (0kg). To those of you who are interested in the stability of our. The instantly recognisable styling and unparalleled build quality is popular with sailors of all ages, which combined together creates a true classic sailboat.

Built by this highly respected builder of over years from Cornwall, this is a very smart example of a double berth motor launch. Exhibited at the London boat show, extra effort and choice in finish materials is apparent over similar examples.

Shrimper stability. Below the waterline she’s sharper than her smaller sister and her keel is shorter with more sheer and beam.

This makes for more room down below – so a V-berth forwar is standard and this is separated from the main saloon by a curtain. This example is in excellent condition, and was specified with the uprated inboard engine from new which is an exceptionally clean Yanmar 1GMengine which has a full servicing history.

Very versatile and affordable classic designed yacht. This boat is as good as near to new as a used boat gets (but with all of the snags associated with a new boat pre sorted for you).

Built in Cornwall, the range is recognised as a leading traditionally-styled sailing yacht offering classic looks and modern technology without the upkeep of a wooden boat. They now have a pivoting bowsprit that acts as the leverage required for the angle to raise and lower single handed.

Their design and construction has stood the test of time well and this boat is in particularly good order for her age. She has only had one owner from new and has been well cared for duuring his years of ownership. There are three different interior layouts for the shrimper but only one for the cape cutter which is four berth.

My personal opinion is that it is impossible to sleep people on a 19ft boat - although two adults and two small children might be OK. Sailboat and sailing yacht searchable database with more than 0sailboats from around the world including sailboat photos and drawings.

No idea why but it does seem to be universal. The North Sea Skiff is what I currently sail.
