Off the beaten track but well worth a detour if in the Oxfor Aylesbury or Thame area.
My low expectations were substantially exceeded. The menu offered plenty of choice and there were several specials to choose from.
We ate four different main courses as diverse as liver and scampi and three different desserts. The Restaurant boasts an impressive menu that caters for all tastes.

Clearly they care about their customers and their food. I am never a big fan of pub foo but my family are big fans of this pub and their food. The large suburban area to the north of Bedford is a bit of a wasteland for pubs and we only chose the Pheasant for a pint primarily on the grounds that it was on a roundabout on one of the main thoroughfares, clearly did food and had a large car park.
Our menu names may seem a little unusual, and although we know some of our guests will be well versed in ancient ploughing terms, why we chose them as titles may allude you! We have always had three menus at the Plough, in different forms over the years. Our main menu is the heart of everything we do, and always has been.
